Year 5 researched the famous scientist Sir Isaac Newton. He was so interesting that we created some reports about him.
Year 4 and 5 enjoyed a special visit from the RNLI. We now know how to be safe around and in water.
Last week, Year 6 visited Safety Works in Newcastle to learn about being safe around gas, dogs and to find out what happens when you get arrested! We all thoroughly enjoyed our visit – apart from those who managed to get themselves arrested!
Today, Year 6 took part in a fantastic Science workshop, led by Green Shift Education. In the first session, we found out all about healthy beating, how to maintain a healthy heart and even got a chance to make and try fruit smoothies!
In the second session, we got hands-on with lamb’s hearts! Some of us were more keen than others but everybody joined in and discovered lots of interesting things about this incredible organ!

This term in Year 4 Science we have been learning about Living Things and Their Habitats. As part of this topic, the children made their own dioramas and discussed the threats to the animals living in that particular habitat. Aren’t they fantastic!
A big well done to Year 3, who put on a fantastic assembly telling us all about Chinese New Year.
In year 3 we have been learning all about Ancient Egypt. One of our favourite lessons was mummifying tomatoes! The tomatoes were scooped out, covered in salt, wrapped in bandages and then placed in their very own tombs!
