This week, Year One, Year Two and Year Three joined together for our Christmas production, ‘Lights, Camel, Action!’ All of the children were a fantastic and had learnt their lines and dance routines. Well done!
Congratulations on the oldest children in school putting on two fabulous shows for everyone this week.
Year 6 had a fantastic time putting their programming, coding and debugging skills to the test at Nissan!
Today we walked down to the church for a beautiful Christingle service. We talked about the meaning of each part of the Christingle and sang some songs together. Once all the candles were lit (glow sticks for our younger children), we turned out the lights and said a special prayer.
Thank you to Year 6 for starting off our adventure celebrations with an assembly explaining the importance of this time of year.
We look forward to spreading the advent light throughout our community.
Year 5 had a fab morning being crafty!
On Wednesday, Year 3 had a visit from Mrs Chipchase who works at the word. She showed us how to use the free website, Pictoblox, to program Toby the teddy bear. We really enjoyed adding sound to our creations to help Toby play music on the stage.
We had a great time exploring the Lego Spike kits and making our robots.
Today in Y5’s science lesson, we were looking at creating a model of the solar system using playdough.
The children worked in groups to think about the size of each planet, the shape as they needed to be spherical and the distance from the sun.
