This week, a visitor from South Tyneside Council spoke to the children of Year Six about making decisions when travelling on their own.
As the children prepare to leave Marsden Primary School and move up to the secondary school, parents and carers often give them more freedom as to where they visit and how they travel there.
The children were informed of and discussed the practicalities of travelling unaccompanied on bus, metro, by bike or on foot.
