Year 5 loved having Lydia in from Groundworks to help us create our own wild flower seed paper. This linked in perfectly with our PSHE theme of Citizenship and taking responsibility to “Reduce, Reuse and Recycle”.
EYFS loved the visit from healthy minds. We learnt all
about keeping our minds healthy and recognising our own
emotions.
As part of our PSHE topic, Y5 enjoyed a guided yoga and stretching session from Miss Hope after the half term break. It was very relaxing and we are hoping to do another session soon!
This week we have learning all about Diwali. We loved our visit from Sid, who told us all about his Diwali celebrations in his family.
After our mental health day, our planters are now ready and the garden is complete!!
Year 2 had a brilliant day celebrating World Mental Health Day. We loved playing outside and planting our plants in the class planter. We also enjoyed doing things that make us happy with our friends.
On Friday, Year 3 celebrated World Mental Health Day by coming to school wearing something that makes us happy and began preparing our planter for the school’s buddy garden. We loved how the outside of our planter turned out and can’t wait to see it in the buddy garden!
The children enjoyed a stress-free day taking part in practical maths activities, mindful activities such as puzzles and watching a movie as well as relaxing spa treats!
The Y5 children did Marsden proud by taking part in bikeabilty week and learning how to stay safe on their bikes, level 2.
Last week, Y6 took part in a RAP safety event. The sessions were designed to ensure the children stay safe as they become older, more independent and are more likely to be out in the community unaccompanied. The children had a great afternoon and learned lots of useful information.
