Tonight was a special Funky Fingers because we let the children use our Kid K’nex! Nobody else in the whole school has tested our new equipment so the children had a great time trying to make different objects with the kit.
Over the weekend, Josh competed in the European Championships. He came home with:
1x gold individual kata
1x gold individual kumite (fighting)
1x silver team kata
This now make him a double European champion & world champion a the age of 8.
An outstanding achievement – we are so proud

Y6 had a fantastic day at The Great North Museum exploring evolution and adaption.
This week, we concentrated on our fine motor skills through a variety of activities. We used the peg boards, tapping shapes and our brand new tinkering blocks.
We also continued our gross motor skill development by adding cones to travel in and out of while on our scooters and balance bikes.
The session was finished off with a game of dance and freeze!
Year 5 had a great time learning about Anglo-Saxons at Jarrow Hall.
In Year 3, we always make sure that we look after ourselves and try to make healthy choices. We loved making our own fruit kebabs as a healthy treat!
Before half term, the children (and staff) enjoyed a well-deserved treat to celebrate the recent OFSTED inspection!
