Well done to our fantastic football team who drew 1-1 with East Boldon tonight. It was brilliant to see the team working so well together, especially in the chilly conditions.
Our final match day is on Monday 17th March.

We had a lovely day celebrating World Book Day in Year 1. We took part in a name the story quiz, made some brilliant book marks and after we got our special books at the World Book Day stall, we decided to read them ‘our own way’ – it was really comfortable!
Thank you to Mrs Hume and the Y5 monitors who set up such a fantastic World Book Day stall. Every child in school has a gorgeous book to take home and share with their family.
Happy Reading!
EYFS have loved celebrating world book day and taking part in all the activities. Our favourite was playing Where’s Wally’ and finding all our teachers.
Year 2 had a brilliant time celebrating World Book Day today. Everybody looked fantastic! As a school we are looking at the book The Lost Words and Year 2 are creating our own Daffodil poems. Today we used oil pastels to create our own daffodil to go alongside our poems. We also had lots of other reading fun and games!
Last half term, Y5 studied the artist Banksy with Mrs Potter and how art can deliver a message. Using his work as inspiration the children created their own piece art to embody our school motto “Everyone Cares, Everyone Matters”. They each designed an under the sea character promoting inclusion and diversity.
Well done Y5 and Mrs Potter!
Year 2 had a brilliant day visiting the Stephenson Museum. We saw lots of trains and found out about the story of George Stephenson.
We are all on the bus and excited for our adventure to Durham Cathedral!
