A massive congratulations to the five Year 6 girls who took part in the South Tyneside Dance Festival. They choreographed their own dance and behaved amazingly as always.
Wow, wow, wow! This morning we hosted Marsden’s Got Talent. The children put on amazing performances including singing, dancing, music and much more. All of the acts were brilliant and the judges found it very difficult choosing the winners.
EYFS: Hannah, Georgia, Georgina and Theresa
KS1: Evie C-Singing
KS2: Sid- Impressions
Congratulations to our winners!
In Year 5, we are reading a book about four children who crash-land in the middle of the Amazon rainforest. They need to eat whatever they can to survive, including bugs!
We set Mr Payne the stomach-churning challenge of trying some bugs to see whether he could survive. Some received a surprising thumbs up, such as the wasabi mealworms, while others were less successful, including the honey and mustard locusts!
This week, Year 4 focused on exploring the rock pools at Jackie’s Beach.
We found some amazing creatures….a sea hare, beadlet sea anemones, velvet swimming crab, shore crabs and one edible crab and the entertaining hermit crabs.
We also spotted a rockling, a butter fish and one other (which was too fast for us).
We even spotted the ringed plovers playing on the shore with their chick….we all stood so quiet and watched from a far!
Today we celebrated England’s first game of the World Cup 2026.
We wore England colours and had our very own penalty shoot out, organised and delivered by our Year Six Sports Leaders. Let’s hope it brings us some good luck for tonight!
What a fabulous afternoon for our annual celebration of sports.
This year the results are:
4th Place= Yellow with 164 points
3rd Place= Blue with 197 points
2nd Place= Green with 198 points
And this year’s winners with 215 points are RED!
