Today the children had a fantastic time looking and learning all about the chicks we have in school. They were very interested in how to care for them.
Well done to everyone who joined us for our Foundation Stage and Key Stage One ‘Wake Up and Shake Up’ this morning.
What a great way to start our day!
On Tuesday 4th June, Year 2 visited The Word in South Shields as part of their topic work on transport. When we were there, we worked on computers, with 2Create a Superstory, and used coding to make an electronic transport book with moving pictures. We became engineers with Lego Wedo and made moving boats and aeroplanes. Finally, we were filmed in front of the green screen talking and singing about different forms of transport. This was then edited together and special effects added and the result was amazing! We look forward to sharing our film with friends and family at our class assembly on Friday 14th June.
What a great day we had!
Year 2 have worked so hard on their special questions for SAT’s that the Nursery children thought they deserved a little treat.
Well Done Year 2
Today the children in the Foundation Stage enjoyed a beautiful walk down to Cornthwaite Park for our sponsored event.
The children were amazing and we had several members of the public commenting on how amazing our fantastic children behaved.
Well done Everyone!
The Reception children enjoyed a visit to South Shields Hospital on Tuesday.
Everyone had a great time.
The Nursery children who stay all day had a fantastic time exploring shapes by creating their own body outlines.
The children worked together in teams, taking turns and concentrating.
Can you spot who the shapes belong to?
The Nursery wanted to show how proud we were of Year 6 for such a fantastic effort this week. So we went up the corridor with a little treat.
Well done Year 6!
Today the Morning Nursery Children went on an adventure to meet Crackle the Dragon during our yoga challenge.
The children are very flexible!
To celebrate St. George’s Day, the Afternoon Nursery Session made their own biscuits with the English flag on them.
