As part of science week, EYFS have been weeding the garden in preparation for planting new flowers, herbs and plants next week. We planted sunflower seeds and discussed how we need to care for our flowers as they grow. We also discussed seasonal change and examined how the world around us changes when it changes from winter to Spring.
Nursery looked at the poem ‘ivy’ from The Lost Words book for our poetry week. We explored what ivy felt and looked like and came up with lots of descriptive words. We made our own ‘ivy is…’ poem along with our ivy artwork.
EYFS have loved celebrating world book day and taking part in all the activities. Our favourite was playing Where’s Wally’ and finding all our teachers.
