Child of the Week 08.01.16

Here are our first stars of 2016.

Nursery am: Hollie for beginning to join in with songs and rhymes during register time.
Nursery pm: Caleb for gaining confidence when talking to adults and when talking as part of a small group.
Reception: Isabella for increased confidence when applying skills and understanding to early writing and addition activities.
Year 1: Lily for an excellent attitude towards all her work. She has listened well resulting in great progress.
Year 2: Oscar for amazing work with money and an improved attitude towards learning.
Year 3: Kenzie for an amazing start to the new year. He has improved in all areas and has been a shining star this week.
Year 4: Gabriella for consistently working hard and putting 100% effort into every piece of work.
Year 5: Abigail has shown increased work rate, concentration and effort this week. She is an incredibly bright girl who is now working to her full capabilities.
Year 6: Brooke has challenged herself all week to complete all work to her best standard. She has such a determined attitude and deserves to succeed.

Child of the Week 20.11.15

Congratulations go to:
Nursery am: Tommy for brilliant mathematical thinking and shape work.
Nursery pm: James for excellent involvement in small group time and enthusiasm in phonics.
Reception: Matthew for excellent literacy work all week. He sequenced a traditional tale and used some fabulous story language.
Year 1: Erin for working independently and working hard to complete all tasks in literacy and numeracy.
Year 2: Olivia for listening to her next step and applying them to her next piece of work.
Year 3: Erin for fantastic multiplication work and becoming Mrs Hanratty’s glamourous assistant to help explain the method to others.
Year 4: Jasmin for improving her mental maths score and working hard with Mrs Lewis.
Year 5: Isaac for excellent contributions when taking part in an educational visit to Monkwearmouth Railway Museum.
Year 6:Rachael for consistently good work and a lot of effort across the curriculum this week.

Nursery (pm): Lucas for gaining confidence during small group time and having a positive attitude.
Reception: Anya for trying her best in everything she’s done this week, both with an adult and independently.
Year 1: Rosie For being extremely sensible and always being there as a helping hand to others.
Year 2: Ellie for amazing effort with all activities.
Year 3: Liam for improved concentration skills in class.
Year 4: Alex for amazing effort in all activities this week, especially her homework.
Year 5: Ava for great work in numeracy and never giving up.
Year 6: Ben for including punctuation in his work and being able to edit his own writing.

Child of the Week 06.11.15

Congratulations to all of our hard workers.

Nursery: Benjamin for improved concentration during small group time.
Reception: Lucy for excellent story telling. She shared books and ideas on our recent trip to the library.
Year 1: Gracie-Mae for showing great enthusiasm throughout all lessons.
Year 2: Jake for working faster and showing fantastic listening skills.
Year 3: Aiden for fantastic researching skills using an ipad to find the location of volcanoes.
Year 4: Willow for great progress in reading and literacy. She produced a lovely information text about Guy Fawkes.
Year 5: Jack for increased speed and accuracy.
Year 6: Jack for consistently good work in all areas. Jack has shown progress by acting on his next steps this week.
