Congratulations to the children who were our first ever class to take part in our EYFS graduation. These children have proved they are mature, hard-working and ready for the challenge of Year 1.
The staff have many fond memories with the children and we hope they will look back happily at their time in EYFS.
Tonight, the PTFA held their first picnic on the field. It was lovely to see so many of our families come together to enjoy the sunshine and support the school.
We are very proud to announce that our school has achieved the Healthy School Award for our efforts to remain physically and emotionally healthy.
Sophie and James from Year 5 represented our school when they went to collect the award at a special Awards Ceremony at South Shields Town Hall. They were fantastic ambassadors
for our school and we are so very proud of them. At the ceremony, we were congratulated on the work we all do with the children around emotional resilience and our positive mental health messages and environment. Our “Wrap Around Rainbow Tree” and our”Kindness Rocks” were also mentioned. Well done to everyone, we all deserve it and a special thank you to Sophie and James.
This week at Beach School, Year 4 completed a litter pick. This was our contribution to our Community Week, which our School Council asked us to get involved in.
We were horrified at the amount of litter we collected. Please remember to take your rubbish home or safely dispose of it in a bin. Let’s look after our beautiful coast!
Year 1 had a lovely end of term trip to the beach this week to finish our seaside topic!
Year 2 had a fantastic day at Broomhouse Farm. We visited the hens and collected freshly laid eggs, played with the goats, Crumble and Mumble, looked at the sheep, pigs and baby piglets. After lunch we had lots of fun playing in the forest completing challenges and enjoying ourselves on the equipment. The guide Julianna at the farm commented upon our excellent behaviour. The teachers were as usual so very proud of all of us!
Well done to everyone who competed today!
What a fantastic morning for our Sports Day. We have some very athletic children, parents and even staff!
Year 1 had a special music lesson today delivered by our very own Florence! She has been working really hard practising the ukulele at home and really wanted to bring it in and show us her talents. The children all had a turn and enjoyed listening to Florence play us a song.
