Reception had a lovely afternoon showing their grown ups all of their hard work, they were super excited to show off all of their challenges and achievements.
What a turn out! Well done on helping to raise £2307.32!!!!
To celebrate the opening of the new coastal path in September, Creative Seed have worked with all our children to rehearse an amazing carnival dance.
The children have been encouraged to attend the parade and join in the dances – once we know more specific information we will be sure to let you know!
What an exciting afternoon Y4 had! We enjoyed our first taste of orienteering in South Marine Park. We put our map reading skills to the test as we followed the course looking for the markers. On route, we were challenged to complete some problem solving activities which involved lots of team work. We managed to avoid the rain and had a fantastic time. It was a big hit!
Our 4th visit to beach school saw us visit a new location – The Wherry. Here, we looked at where high tide and low tide reached before exploring the splash zone, mid zone and shore line. On our walk to The Wherry, we saw lots of the coastal features we have been learning about including an arch, stack, stump, bay and headland. We learned about the importance of avoiding entering caves and standing too close to rocky overhangs. Before heading back to school, we had a quick look at the pools of water left on the bedrock to see if we could find anything interesting!
Year 1 had a lovely time sharing their work with their families!

Today, we welcomed “The Creative Seed” company to share with us some carnival fun. We had the opportunity to try on some outfits and learn a little more about the special celebration we will be having in September to commemorate the new coast road opening.
We can’t wait to join in some dance lessons over the next couple of days!
It’s that time of year when we gather together to share our achievements throughout the year. Nursery and Year 5 were first up to share files and books with parents. We are all very proud of the progress the children have made this year 😊
