All showered and ready for bed after some chill time!
After tea, Y6 enjoyed some field games.
Y2-Y5 thoroughly enjoyed their visit from Whitburn Cricket Club. We discovered a lot of natural talent and some children made a lot of progress in the hour session!
Hopefully, some of the children will have discovered a new hobby!
A great afternoon had by all!
Congratulations to this year’s winners, yellow team.
Year 5 put their knowledge of the parts of a flower today by dissecting a tulip and separating out the different parts. It was fascinating to see in the inner workings of the plant!
The Y5 children did Marsden proud by taking part in bikeabilty week and learning how to stay safe on their bikes, level 2.
Last week, Y6 took part in a RAP safety event. The sessions were designed to ensure the children stay safe as they become older, more independent and are more likely to be out in the community unaccompanied. The children had a great afternoon and learned lots of useful information.
This half term, in PE, Y5 have been learning about Netball. Our main focus has so far been on the three main passes: chest pass, shoulder pass and bounce pass. Check out our moves.
Once we were confident in passing, we moved on to footwork and defending.
