Y6 had a fantastic day in Upper Teesdale visiting the famous High Force waterfall. The visit provided the children with the opportunity to see their learning come to life having studied rivers this half term in geography. We had a lovely walk starting at Bowlees Visitor Centre before reaching Low Force. There were noticeable gasps as the children came through the trees to see the water cascading over the rocks. After we all safely crossed the historic Wynch Bridge, we continued upstream taking note of the key river features we had learned about in lessons. Finally, we arrived at the main attraction – High Force – where lots of the children were able to recall key facts about the waterfall which really impressed Mrs Wilson!
