In DT we have been designing and making a sleigh to gift at Christmas. The children came up with fantastic ideas of how to decorate their sleigh. We then started painting the, while listening to Christmas music! We can’t wait to start fixing them together!

Year 1 went on a lovely walk as part of our new Geography topic. We set off with our clipboards in hand to find physical features in our local area. We managed to check off all the things we were looking for including hills, cliffs, fields, sky and sea. We then discussed what we found and drew pictures of things we seen on our walk once back to class. We were super well behaved and had a fab time.

We have started our new topic around animals. We became scientists and looked at different habitats. Then we decided to make a bug hotel! Lots of us enjoyed finding bugs and we were very brave! We found spiders, snails, woodlouse and worms!

Year 1 and Year 3 loved walking to the Cornthwaite park for their sponsored walk. They walked extremely sensibly along the road and loved having fun, playing with their friends in the play park.  What a lovely afternoon!

In Year 1 we received a message from the Big Bad Wolf asking us to help him write instructions to make a new cake for his Grandmother’s birthday. Of course the children wanted to help!

First, we needed to make sure we knew how to make a cake! Then we set off on our task to create our own instructions. I’m sure the Big Bad Wolf will be super happy with our hard work. We had so much fun!
