A message from our Head Teacher

Welcome to our school website. At Marsden Primary School we are very proud of the work we do and hope you will experience a flavour of this as you browse our site.
We are fortunate to have a dedicated team of skilled professionals working at our school who understand the importance of putting the children at the heart of each learning experience. Our school vision is summed up in the phrase ‘Everyone Cares, Everyone Matters’ and when you visit our school, you will see this vision lived out by every individual.
Marsden Primary School welcomed comments from recent OFSTED inspectors, who noticed that ‘The care and support provided by staff at the school is of the highest quality.’
We look forward to welcoming you to our school in the near future so you can experience this quality first hand!

Chinese Dinner

A big thank you to all of the Kitchen Staff for making Friday such as success. Th e children could choose between some delicious Chinese food including, chicken curry, sweet and sour beef, stir fry and even had a fortune cookie to end the meal.
It was a huge hit with the children (and Staff!).

EYFS Chinese Dragons

Before we broke up for Half Term, EYFS asked the children to work with parents to create their own Chinese Dragon! They could choose how they wanted to represent the dragon and we were overwhelmed by the response. Aren’t they fantastic?!
Good job Nursery and Reception (and Parents)!

Thurston 2018

I think it’s safe to say we have all had a fantastic week at Thurston.

We have had the opportunity to go canoeing, rock climbing, ghyll walking, hiking and orienteering alongside lots of of other activities.

We have visited various locations in Ambleside and in the surrounding areas and we have made memories that we will never forget.

At Thurston we had three groups: Grizedale, Yewdale and Langdale. Each group consisted of ten children and one or two members of staff.

Here are our teams:
Langdale

Grizedale

Yewdale

We have had an amazing time and can’t wait to tell you all about it!

Y4 Life Centre

Well, what can I say? Year Four experienced an utterly amazing trip on Tuesday! We became scientists, using Bunsen burners to explore evaporation and condensation, went on a 4D Polar Express ride, watched a show in the planetarium and even found out lots about animal dung!!! To top off our amazing day, we went ice skating on the outdoor rink! Some of us were more successful than others! What a day!
